This Kingdom verse is deals with the promises God Almighty made to Mary and king David concerning Jesus.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest:
and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Luke 1:32-33)
The angel Gabriel promised Mary that:
- Jesus would be great,
- He would be the Son of God Almighty,
- God would give Him the throne of David in Jerusalem.
- His kingdom would be eternal.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending the angel Gabriel to Mary, and the prophet Nathan to David with the wonderful promise that Your Son Jesus will rule as king from Jerusalem forever. Hasten the day of His coming. In His holy Name. Amen.
Supporting verse: When thy (David’s) days are fulfilled, and thou shall sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, that shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
