This was the Golden Age in Israel’s history!
So Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king in place of his father David. He prospered and all Israel obeyed him. (1 Chron 29:23 NIV)
- This was a time when God’s Kingdom was established on earth.
- King Solomon reigned for 40 years (on behalf of God Almighty) in Jerusalem (about 1000 BC.)
- He ruled wisely, his subjects obeyed him and he built the temple of God.
- When he died the kingdom was divided because everyone began to do ‘their own thing!’
- God then removed His kingdom from Israel until….Jesus was born King! (Matt 2:2)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray for the day when Your Son will rule all nations from Jerusalem, and the Golden Age of Israel will be restored forever! In the Name of the ‘greater than Solomon’…even Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen
